Pushing the Limits – Total War: ROME REMASTERED patch 2.0.4 is Out Now

After a successful stint in beta, ROME REMASTERED patch 2.0.4 is now available!

This update brings with it a legion of expanded modding capabilities, as well as a cohort of interface improvements, tweaks to AI, sound and more. The full changelog is far too long to detail here, but you’ll find a complete rundown over on the Total War Blog.

The post-release development of ROME REMASTERED, has focussed on ensuring the game’s legacy rivals that of the great city itself, by empowering a fantastically talented and thriving modding community to make ever more ambitious additions for many years to come.

To that end, previously hardcoded caps to the number of possible cultures, building types and, the one you’ve all been waiting for, factions have now been entirely lifted (well, unless you want more than 4 billion of each!). This, alongside many, many other new capabilities (detailed in the patch notes), opens the door to total conversion mods of a size and scope limited only by the modder’s imagination.

Patch 2.0.4 is the final planned content update for Total War: ROME REMASTERED, but the game will continue to be supported to ensure stability and compatibility as required. Not only that, but we’ve been working directly with a number of modding teams, and as a result, many of them have public releases of their projects going live today. We’ll be sharing their work on Facebook and Twitter in the coming days, so be sure to follow us there.

We’re in the End Times Now — Total War: WARHAMMER III - Lords of the End Times Has Arrived on macOS & Linux

Total War: WARHAMMER III’s Lords of the End Times is out now on macOS & Linux!

Introducing four new Legendary Lords inspired by the apocalyptic End Times, eight Legendary Heroes, and 23 new Units, this is the largest DLC pack of the series to date. Head to the Total War Blog for a complete rundown of the cast and content.

As with other recent DLC packs, the complete collection can be purchased as a bundle for a discounted price of $30.56 / £25.48 / €30,56. Alternatively, you can pick and mix the Legendary Lords that take your fancy, and purchase them individually for $8.99 / £7.49 / €8,99 each.

And, in a first for the series, purchasing Lords of the End Times content - either as a bundle or individually - grants access to the colossal Immortal Empires campaign with no need to own any Total War: WARHAMMER game, making it a great entry point for new players.

It’s the Eye of the Tigress: Bhashiva — Character Pack Out Now for Total War: WARHAMMER III on macOS and Linux

A new challenger approaches the Old World’s Maelstrom of conflict and chaos!

The Bhashiva Character Pack introduces a new Legendary Lord to the Grand Cathay. The Tiger Warriors are a proud, ancient martial culture, and sworn allies of the Dragon Lords of Cathay.

Ruling from the Tiger Court, their Lord is Bhashiva, a duellist built to cut through infantry and enemy Heroes alike — striking hard and fast with flame-imbued attacks.

If you own Total War: WARHAMMER or WARHAMMER II, but you’ve not yet purchased the WARHAMMER III base game, the Bhashiva Character Pack also unlocks the Grand Cathay faction for use in the Immortal Empires Campaign.

Today also sees the release of the free Update 8.0 for Total War: WARHAMMER III on macOS and Linux. A favoured general of the Iron Dragon, she can be recruited by any Grand Cathay Legendary Lord. Specialised in slaying fearsome single-entity beasts, she is an asset to any faction who win her loyalty.
