XCOM 2: War of the Chosen - Tactical Legacy Pack coming to macOS and Linux

The XCOM 2: War of the Chosen - Tactical Legacy Pack DLC includes a collection of new game modes, maps, weapons, armors and Photobooth options that honors the legacy of the XCOM series.

It will launch for macOS and Linux shortly after the Windows release on 9th October.

The Tactical Legacy Pack will be free to all owners of War of the Chosen until 12:59pm EST on 3rd December 2018.

NEW GAMEPLAY MODES:

  • Legacy Ops – Command a squad of soldiers through a series of linked tactical missions.
  • Skirmish Mode – Create and play your own custom XCOM tactical missions using the included editor that allows you to modify various settings (map, squad loadouts, objective, enemies, and more.)

NEW MAPS

Engage in battle across 28 new maps including remastered maps and scenes from XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM: Enemy Within. These new maps will be featured in Central’s Archives.

NEW WEAPONS AND ARMOR

Equip your soldiers with reimagined versions of the conventional, laser, and plasma weapons, as well as Kevlar, Carapace, and Titan armor from XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Complete Central’s Archives to unlock these new additions for use in the main single player campaign.

NEW CUSTOMIZATION AND PHOTOBOOTH OPTIONS

Customize your soldiers with new attitudes and helmets. Create new images in the Photobooth with additional backgrounds, colors, and character poses.

NEW SOUNDTRACK OPTIONS

With the new Soundtrack Selector you can choose to play the XCOM 2: War of the Chosen campaign with the existing score, the score from XCOM: Enemy Unknown, or an all-new soundtrack inspired by the music from the original X-COM: UFO Defense.

OFFLINE CHALLENGE MODE

Play through all 100+ War of the Chosen challenges as often as you want.

Please note: the Tactical Legacy Pack will require ownership of both the base game XCOM 2, and the XCOM 2: War of the Chosen expansion to play.

Kislev Endures — Total War: WARHAMMER III Update 6.1 Out Now on macOS and Linux

We hope you packed your warm gauntlets. Total War: WARHAMMER III’s latest update returns to the frozen lands of Kislev to offer a fresh take on the Ice Queen’s dominion.

From sweeping updates to the faction’s technology tree to a complete overhaul of the Supporter race between the Ice Court and the Grand Orthodoxy — this is a Tzardom transformed. Also included is an update to the Devotion system which replaces the local Control mechanic, and a radical new take on the Ataman system for Kislev.

And the Changer of Ways is on the receiving end of some changes of his own, with Tzeentch’s Fragments of Sorcery system receiving a visual and mechanical overhaul.

Also included are two brand new units: The Nan-Gau Grenadiers for Cathay and Gnoblar Flingers for the Ogre Kingdoms, rounding out a bold update to many of the base game’s original factions.

Embrace the Chaos in Thrones of Decay — Out Now for Total War: WARHAMMER III on macO & Linux

The latest DLC for the gargantuan strategy title introduces three new Legendary Lords across Nurgle, the Empire and the Dwarfs. They each bring unique campaign mechanics to their respective races, with a brand-new objective in Realm of Chaos. All that, plus new Units and Legendary Heroes to help their races achieve total victory and secure the Nemesis Crown.

Completionists can purchase the entire pack from Steam or the Feral Store for $22.92 / £19.10 / €22.92. Individual lords can be purchased separately on Steam, for $8.99 / £7.49 / €8.99 each.

Also released today is Update 5.0, free to all owners of the game — introducing quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. For those with a linked CA account, Update 5.0 also adds an extra free Legendary Lord for the Nurgle race, Epidemius.
