Total War: MEDIEVAL II — Kingdoms: Massive Expansion Comes to iOS & Android on November 10th

Kingdoms, the massive expansion for Total War: MEDIEVAL II, comes to iOS & Android on November 10th, featuring four new campaigns in one in-app purchase.

Spanning four centuries and bringing bold new conquests to mobile, Kingdoms further enriches MEDIEVAL II by taking its strategic empire-building and epic warfare to novel, historical settings. Each campaign offers enormous replayability, with 24 playable factions, expanded unit rosters and bespoke game mechanics.

  • Americas: As soon as their ships make land on the shores of the New World, the Conquistadores begin to exploit Mexico’s riches in the name of the Spanish king. But, fuelled by the fury of their warlike gods, the native Aztec, Mayan and Apachean factions defy the invaders at every turn.
  • Britannia: English dominance of the British Isles comes under threat in a brutal five-way power struggle. With old rivals resurgent, internal enemies emboldened and occupied lands in rebellion, the forces of the old order will be tested to the limit.
  • Crusades: The struggle of European rulers to maintain their footholds in Jerusalem and Antioch precipitates a new clash of Christian and Islamic armies for control of the precious Holy Land.
  • Teutonic: As the last bastion of the old gods, Lithuania attracts the unwelcome attention of the Teutonic Order. These ruthless German knights fight to erase paganism from the Baltic lands, but will be met with fierce resistance.

Total War: MEDIEVAL II — Kingdoms lands on November 10th, for $6.99/ €7.99/ £5.99.

Hotseats & Halberds Update for Total War: MEDIEVAL II Out Now!

EMPIRE may be the most recent entry in the Total War series to have landed on mobile, but that doesn’t mean Total War: MEDIEVAL II should be forgotten. On the Hotseat side of today’s patch, the asynchronous multiplayer of desktop Kingdoms makes a triumphant return in a new and improved form. Owners of Kingdoms on mobile can now play hotseat mode on the Kingdoms campaigns, and the Grand Campaign of the base game for the very first time!

And, it’s not just Halberds that are feeling the love… The other half of the update introduces a massive assortment of balance updates to different units — most notably, a new Cohesion mechanic ensuring that Pikemen formations perform more reliably.

A full breakdown of the Hotseats & Halberds can be found on our blog, as well as a mammoth list of all the changes. But, if you’ve already read enough, charge to the app store of your choice and update today!
