In this classic Total War game of real-time battles and turn-based strategy, you are a warrior king in a medieval world, playing to expand your area of influence and power with an artful mix of diplomacy, commerce and war.

Go on a Crusade to the Medieval II: Total War Collection minisite, where the game's legacy, features and screenshots can be unwrapped, then decamp for the Mac App Store. Revel in single-player for now, but look forward to Mac vs Mac multiplayer soon as a free update.

Looking Sharp — Hitman: Absolution - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Arrives on October 22nd

Agent 47 loves putting killer new hardware to good use. If you feel the same, prepare for the imminent arrival of Hitman: Absolution on Nintendo Switch 2.

This Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack will be available for free for a limited time, from launch day until November 4th:

  • If you already own Hitman: Absolution on Nintendo Switch, simply grab the Upgrade Pack from the eShop for free. After November 4th, the Upgrade Pack will cost $9.99 / £4.99 / 4,99€.
  • If you own a Nintendo Switch 2 but don’t yet have Hitman: Absolution, simply purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition directly from the eShop for $29.99 / £19.99 / 24,99€ saving 25%. From November 5th, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will cost $39.99 / £24.99 / 29,99€.

  • Increased output resolution in both Handheld and Docked Mode.
  • Frame rate improvements in Handheld Mode, to a maximum of 60 FPS.
  • Support for Joy-Con 2 Mouse Controls.
  • Improved animations and visual effects in the most demanding scenes.
  • Level of Detail (LoD), shadow quality and texture filtering improvements.

The cross-platform, challenge-setting Contracts mode will also be available on release day for Nintendo Switch 2 players.

Hit the Switch — Contracts Mode is Now Available for Hitman: Absolution on Nintendo Switch

Following its successful introduction to mobile, Contracts, the player-created challenge mode is out now for Hitman: Absolution on Nintendo Switch via a free update.

Select up to three marks from any of the game’s target-rich environments, choose how to eliminate them, then share your Contract online for others to tackle.

High scores and bragging rights are up for grabs on Contracts mode’s cross-platform leaderboards, so agent, get out there and make a name for yourself.
