The Empire: Total War Collection redraws the map with a Linux release

In a brilliant tactical maneuver, the Empire: Total War Collection advanced on new territory today as the Linux version was released on Steam.

The epic strategy game, set against the turbulent backdrop of the 18th century, is the second Linux title to be developed and published by Feral, following the success of XCOM: Enemy Unknown earlier this year.

The Empire: Total War Collection is a SteamPlay title that runs on Ubuntu 14.04.1 and Valve’s SteamOS. The base game and all the add-on content, including The Warpath Campaign expansion, are available now from Steam.

The game’s relentless march has been charted at the Empire: Total War Collection Steam information page.

Empire: Total War is a Creative Assembly game, developed and published for Linux by Feral Interactive.

Hit After Hit — Hitman: Absolution Brings the Heat to iOS & Android this Autumn; Nintendo Switch releases to follow

Branded a traitor and hunted by the Agency he once served, Agent 47 returns to iOS and Android this autumn in Hitman: Absolution.

Building on the success of 2023’s Blood Money — Reprisal, Absolution is the compelling next installment, shining a spotlight on Agent 47’s character and revealing that he is more than just a number.

Stealth meets modernised combat to make ‘going loud’ as satisfying as keeping to the shadows — turning each of Absolution’s 20 missions into an assassin’s playground. Sleek touch controls offer 47’s trademark precision, and, for the full AAA experience on the go, gamepad and keyboard and mouse are fully supported.

Following the mobile release, Hitman: Absolution will arrive on Nintendo Switch in late 2025, with native Switch 2 support to follow in 2026. More details on the Switch versions will be revealed later this year.
