Factions

Command the US Army against German Wehrmacht forces in the Company of Heroes campaign, or play as either in Skirmish Mode.

The Allies

United States Army

With its roster of aggressive units, the US Army excels at taking the fight to the enemy. Utilize numbers and superior mobility to overwhelm your foes. However, the base units are less powerful than their Wehrmacht equivalents, so strategic upgrades are key to success.

Company types:

Infantry Company: Build squads and defences faster than the other companies, employ heavy artillery, and reinforce your ranks with the elite US Army Rangers.
Airborne Company: Deploy paratroopers, recon planes, and the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter-bomber.
Armor Company: Faster vehicle production and field repairs than the other companies. Call in the Sherman Calliopes and the M26 Pershing heavy tank.

British 2nd Army

Included in the Opposing Fronts expansion, available via in-app purchase.

Experts at digging in and holding the line, the British 2nd Army are a primarily defensive force, adept at shaping the battlefield to their advantage with slit trenches, anti-tank emplacements and mobile command trucks.

Command Trees:

Royal Artillery: Pound the enemy with creeping barrages from off-map, employ counter-battery fire and deploy the Priest 105mm Self-Propelled heavy artillery unit.
Royal Commandos: Deploy covert Commando units to harass the enemy, and send in reinforcements from above using gliders.
Royal Engineers: Field three variations of the Churchill tank, capable of self-entrenchment, and further improve the capabilities of your mobile base structures.

The Axis

German Wehrmacht

Battle-hardened, resilient and disciplined; what the Wehrmacht lack in numbers, they make up for with their power and professionalism. The Panther and Tiger tanks are the best on the battlefield, and Wehrmacht troops excel in specialised roles.

Doctrines:

Blitzkrieg Doctrine: Deploy overwhelming assault units such as Stormtroopers and the Tiger I tank.
Defensive Doctrine: Provides defence bonuses and artillery support including access to powerful Flak 88 cannons.
Terror Doctrine: Demoralise the enemy with propaganda, Flying Bomb V1 rockets, and a single super-powered King Tiger tank.

German Panzer Elite

Included in the Opposing Fronts expansion, available via in-app purchase.

Heavily-mechanised and adaptable, the German Panzer Elite deliver devastating firepower wherever it is needed by employing custom halftracks, personnel carriers outfitted with mortars, heavy machine guns and anti-tank guns.

Doctrines:

Scorched Earth Tactics: Block roads, deploy artillery, and booby trap strategic points to narrow the battlefield options and force the enemy’s hand.
Luftwaffe Tactics: Deploy Wirbelwind Flakpanzer anti-aircraft guns, Henschel Hs 129 ground-attack aircraft, Flak 36 88mm Cannons, and Butterfly Bombs to secure key locations.
Tank Destroyer Tactics: Field highly effective Jagdpanther Tank Destroyers, and cripple enemy armour with pressure-activated Teller mines, extra Panzerschreck anti-tank rocket launchers and anti-tank grenades.
