UX Engineer (Video Game Studio)

Feral Interactive is looking for an imaginative UX Engineer with front-end web development experience to help us deliver outstanding PC games to mobile devices.

Feral specialises in bringing AAA games to new platforms and audiences; our releases cover a range of genres and present a variety of design challenges.

Working within our design team using a custom variant of HTML/CSS, the successful candidate will help forge a new path for rapid prototyping and evolution of custom in-game user interfaces and experiences. Responsible for the entire evolution of a UI from initial conception to a refined in-game experience, there is unlimited scope for creative flare and technical fulfilment.

Our preferred candidate is personable and enthusiastic, will relish working in a collaborative environment and be keen to make the most of the opportunities to impact the games we release. You should also be keen to learn new software and pick up new skills; we are especially interested in people who can show they have the potential to develop and the desire to advance.

This is a permanent, full-time position at our studio in Wandsworth, south-west London.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Ability to think in HTML/CSS
  • An interest in UI/UX and game design
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Understanding of code revisions systems such as SVN or Git
