Junior 3D Artist
Feral Interactive is looking for a talented and technically proficient 3D artist with good artistic skills to join our dedicated art team. We bring outstanding PC games to new platforms and audiences, and our artists play a key part in helping to achieve that.
This role is ideal for someone who is excited both by the creative and technical challenges of asset production and integration for AAA games. We are looking for someone with a suite of appropriate skills, good knowledge of character model workflow and demonstrable experience of asset optimization across a range of pipelines.
Our ideal candidate will relish the opportunities to troubleshoot the myriad issues that arise during the art creation and integration process. You should be keen to learn new software and pick up new skills; we are especially interested in people who can show they have the potential to develop rapidly and the desire to advance quickly.
While prior professional experience is not required, you will need demonstrable experience of working with relevant packages, particularly Maya and Photoshop. Please include a link to your portfolio in your application.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at our studio in Wandsworth, south-west London.
Required Skills and Experience
- Degree in a relevant subject
- Proficiency with Maya and Photoshop
- Experience in full digital art content creation (3D modelling, texturing , UV wrapping and LOD creation).
- SVN versioning software
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Annual salary £22-26k, dependent upon skills and experience
