Worms 3D’s cartoonish landscape and comical characters disguise a turn-based strategy game that’s both varied and challenging.

Worms 3D is a solid port and clearly the product of stringent QA (Quality Assurance). Kudos to Feral and Zonic. With spruced-up graphics, a multitude of tactics available, coupled with the ever-changing, randomly-generated landscapes, Worms 3D is a pleasant antidote to the glut of FPS releases.

Worms 3D is a honed, elegant game wrapped up in graphics, sound, movies, and detail that just make it ooze personality. Anyone who feels like he could use a nice blend of turn-based strategy with a bit of the original squad-based combat, or just wants to watch cute 3D worms blow the 3D crap out of each other, ought to pick up Worms 3D ASAP.

Kudos to Team 17 for keeping gameplay simple and fun even in 3 dimensions. …All in all, you're in for a treat if you'd like a romp through some cartoony silliness as an alternative to today's uber-realistic bloodbaths.

Humanity has been playing all the different versions of Worms, and eagerly awaiting a 3D version. Their wish finally came true, and they won't be disappointed.
